The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, hosted the 2025 Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at the State House, Abuja, drawing together former Heads of State, senior government officials, traditional rulers, and Christian leaders. The service, themed Emmanuel: God With Us, featured scriptural readings by eminent national figures and soul-lifting renditions by the Christian Association of Nigeria’s mass choir.

In his exhortation, the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Oliver Aba, urged Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and selfless service as the foundation for national renewal. He assured citizens that God’s presence remains constant despite economic pressures, insecurity, and social challenges, describing Christ as the Prince of Peace who brings hope and reassurance in difficult times.

The annual service reinforced the importance of faith, shared responsibility, and compassion in building a stronger and more united Nigeria, closing on a joyful note with Christmas carols and cultural performances that celebrated the season of love and hope.
