

The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed deep sorrow over the abduction of 25 students from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Kebbi State, describing it as an assault on the values of safety and learning that schools are meant to uphold.
In a personally signed press release, she stated: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the abduction of the 25 students of the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi State and the tragic killing of the Vice Principal. This heartbreaking incident is not only an attack on innocent girls and dedicated educators, but an assault on the values of safety and learning that schools embody.”
The First Lady noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has already directed security agencies to ensure the safe return of the abducted students and to bring the perpetrators to justice. She extended her prayers and condolences to the families, friends, and schoolmates of the victims, praying for divine intervention and for the soul of the late Vice Principal to rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
Her statement underscores the administration’s commitment to safeguarding educational institutions and ensuring the protection of students and educators across the country.
