Florida Congressman Cory Mills Hit With Restraining Order Over Ex-Girlfriend’s Claims

Florida Republican Congressman Cory Mills has been placed under a restraining order after his former girlfriend, Lindsey Langston — crowned Miss United States in 2024 — accused him of threatening to release intimate videos of her. A judge ruled that evidence presented in court supported Langston’s claims that Mills’ conduct caused her “emotional distress,” according to Politico. The order is set to remain in effect until January 2026.

Mills, who represents a congressional district northeast of Orlando, reportedly began dating Langston in 2021. Their relationship unraveled earlier this year, following a February police report of an alleged assault involving an unnamed woman in Washington, D.C. Both Mills and the woman denied any violence occurred, and no charges were filed. However, tensions escalated months later when Langston filed a complaint alleging that Mills had continued to contact her and threatened to release explicit videos she had previously sent him.

During two separate court hearings, both parties testified about their relationship and communications. The judge ultimately determined that Mills failed to present a “credible rebuttal” to Langston’s testimony, solidifying the basis for the restraining order. The high-profile dispute adds further controversy to the congressman’s political career as questions grow about his personal conduct and judgment.
