Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Bello, CON, has issued a strong statement distancing himself from online claims circulated by one Joy Sadiq, who operates under the handles @realmamakogi and @realmamakogi2 on Facebook and TikTok.
In the statement, Bello described the allegations as “unfounded” and “misleading,” stressing that he has no association with Sadiq beyond her occasional presence among individuals claiming allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.
He clarified that Sadiq’s claims, including suggestions of betrayal, exclusion from government, or actions involving political, financial, or security authorities, are inaccurate and do not reflect reality. Bello emphasized that she does not represent him in any capacity and her assertions are made independently.
Bello further reaffirmed his strong and cordial relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, describing it as grounded in respect, understanding, and shared commitment to their political goals. He reiterated his full support for President Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027.
He urged the public and media to treat Sadiq’s statements as uninformed and malicious, cautioning against giving them any credence. Bello added that all his official communications are released only through approved channels and national media platforms.
