Former presidential aspirant Mohammed Hayatu-Deen has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing worsening insecurity, rising cost of living, and a shrinking democratic space as key reasons for his decision.
Hayatu-Deen said his move was driven by concerns over Nigeria’s current socio-economic and political conditions, which he believes require urgent corrective action.
His defection adds to ongoing political realignments within Nigeria’s opposition landscape ahead of future elections.
