Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers State, leads the party in the state.

Yilwatda made the statement on Hard Copy, a programme aired on Channels Television.

According to him, the APC accords sitting governors the privilege of providing leadership for the party at the state level. However, he stressed that such leadership must be exercised with a sense of inclusion and respect for all party members.

He cautioned against the marginalisation of stakeholders, noting that leadership does not confer the right to disenfranchise others within the party.

“Being the leader does not mean you disenfranchise people within the state. We give room for inclusion,” Yilwatda said.

His comments come amid ongoing discussions on party leadership and internal cohesion within the APC across the states.
