Galatasaray are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Manchester City for the permanent transfer of defender Manuel Akanji. Both clubs have reportedly settled on a £15m fee, with only final details left to be completed.

The Turkish giants are preparing to present their proposal to the Swiss international in the coming hours as they look to finalise the move before the end of the week. Akanji, who joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, has been an important squad player under Pep Guardiola but is now set for a new chapter.

The deal, if completed, would further strengthen Galatasaray’s defensive options as they prepare for both domestic and European challenges in the new season.
