Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has issued a firm warning to clubs eyeing Victor Osimhen, insisting the Nigerian striker is not for sale and will remain with the Turkish giants for years to come.

Osimhen, 26, continued his sensational form with a brace at RAMS Park on Wednesday, becoming the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European games, surpassing Burak Yilmaz’s previous record of six.

His performances have drawn widespread praise across Europe, fully justifying his club-record €75m transfer from Napoli. President Özbek confirmed there is no release clause in his contract.

“Osimhen’s contract does not have an exit clause. He is extremely successful and will serve Galatasaray for many years,” Özbek told Fanatik.
“People may say the transfer fee was high, but today his value is far greater. Our contracts are transparent and fully comply with TFF and UEFA regulations.”

Vice-president Abdullah Kavukçu also praised the Super Eagles forward, stressing the club’s ambition and pride in securing his signature.

“There are players worth €140m in the world, but Osimhen is being talked about even more,” he said.
“Others offered more in Naples, but we got him. Galatasaray is a huge club — and he’s worth every cent.”

Osimhen has been pivotal to Galatasaray’s domestic and European campaigns. His goals have helped earn the club €18.8m in Champions League qualification bonuses, plus another €4.2m from wins over Liverpool and Bodø/Glimt — a total of around €23m, according to Sporx.

Off the pitch, his impact has been just as significant. Within weeks of his arrival, 40,000 Osimhen-branded shirts and masks were sold through GS Stores, generating €8.19m in merchandise revenue.

With 42 goals in 49 games, Osimhen is now 20th on Galatasaray’s all-time scorers list, surpassing legends like Xhevat Prekazi and Shabani Nonda. He is also the club’s highest-scoring Nigerian in history.
