Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago has ordered the dissolution of the Niger State Executive Council, affecting all commissioners and senior political appointees.

In a statement issued on Monday, the governor confirmed that the decision takes immediate effect. However, key officials including the Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, Secretary to the State Government, and principal officers in the Government House are exempted and will continue in their roles.

Governor Bago is expected to announce a reconstituted cabinet in the coming weeks as part of efforts to reposition his administration for greater efficiency.
