Governor Ododo Presents N820.49bn 2026 Budget Estimates to Kogi Assembly

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has presented the 2026 Appropriation Bill, valued at N820.49 billion, to the Kogi State House of Assembly for consideration.

During the presentation, Governor Ododo described the proposed budget as a strategic financial plan aimed at accelerating infrastructure development, enhancing social services, and strengthening security across the state. He emphasized that the estimates were crafted to consolidate ongoing reforms and improve the welfare of citizens.

The Governor urged lawmakers to give the bill swift and diligent consideration to ensure timely passage, noting that early approval would enable the state to maintain fiscal stability and implement key development projects without delays.

Speaker of the House, Aliyu Yusuf, assured the governor of the Assembly’s commitment to thorough scrutiny and collaboration to deliver a budget that reflects the aspirations of the people.
