
Several houses were flooded due to heavy rainfall in the Ogbomoso area of Oyo State.
Reports indicate that significant downpours occurred between Wednesday and Thursday morning, causing the Ora River, which flows through the eastern part of the city, to overflow its banks.
Areas particularly affected include Isale Ora and Aduinin. A Cherubim and Seraphim church building, along with a wooden store selling planks near the riverbank, were completely submerged.
Additionally, other properties in the vicinity also suffered damage from the flooding.
As of this report, Vanguard has learned that the state government has yet to respond to the incident, while residents in the affected areas are urgently seeking assistance.
