Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms Expected Across Nigerian Cities

The Nigerian Meteorological outlook for today indicates widespread rainfall across major cities, with thunderstorms likely in both the northern and southern regions.

In Abuja, residents should brace for early morning showers followed by scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of about 27°C during the day and drop to around 21°C at night. Humidity levels remain high, making the weather feel warmer and damp.

In Lagos, heavy rainfall is forecast to dominate the morning hours, gradually easing into light showers in the afternoon. Temperatures will hover around 27°C in the day and fall to 24°C at night. Skies are expected to remain cloudy, with rain chances peaking at 90 percent.

Meteorologists warn that flooding may occur in low-lying areas as the rains persist. They advise motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution, while farmers are encouraged to take advantage of the rainfall for agricultural activities.
