Ogun State has officially joined Nigeria’s aviation map with the successful commencement of commercial flight operations from the Gateway International Airport, Iperu-Ilisan.

Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the historic milestone on Monday, celebrating the departure of the maiden @flyvaluejet flight from the airport to Abuja.

The Governor described the development as “a new dawn in Ogun State aviation history”, marking the fulfillment of a long-held vision to make the state a hub for air transport and economic growth.

The Gateway International Airport, one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the South-West region, is expected to boost commerce, tourism, and investment opportunities in Ogun and beyond.

This milestone firmly positions Ogun State as a key player in Nigeria’s aviation and transportation network.
