
The Managing Director and CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Abba Abubakar Aliyu, met with the Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, yesterday. Aliyu gave him an update on the agency’s progress in advancing Nigeria’s electrification projects.
Mr. Aliyu gave a thorough overview of REA’s accomplishments during the meeting, displaying photos of power plants that had been established at important universities around the nation, such as the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna, Federal University Gashua, Yobe, University of Abuja, University of Maiduguri, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, and Federal University Gashua, Yobe.
The Minister of State praised the REA for its outstanding work and emphasized the significance of increasing public knowledge of the organization’s activities and their beneficial effects on local communities.
“The REA’s initiatives are pivotal in transforming our educational and healthcare institutions, and it’s essential that the public understands the significance of these projects,” stated the Honourable Minister.
HM Edun expressed his support for the agency’s future initiatives and encouraged ongoing cooperation to boost electrification efforts around the country as the conference came to a close.
