The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, welcomed a delegation from the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department, led by Marco Antonio, Technical Assistance Advisor for Revenue Administration 2, to discuss the ongoing Single Window Project.

The IMF reaffirmed its support for the initiative, which aims to streamline trade processes, boost government revenue, and improve the ease of doing business. Antonio commended the NSW project, along with other reforms, and explored ways the IMF could further assist in ensuring its successful implementation.

Minister Edun confirmed that the project is progressing well, with approvals secured, a dedicated team in place, and a structured implementation plan underway. He emphasized its potential to drive export growth, particularly as Nigeria moves toward achieving a daily oil production target of 1.2 million barrels.

Describing the project as a transformative economic tool, Edun reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to its success. He highlighted the strategic leadership of President Tinubu and the support of the Nigeria Customs Service as critical factors in its execution.
