The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the deployment of 2,062 polling officials and 574 Bimodal Voter Accreditation System machines for the forthcoming bye-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State.

INEC said the deployment would cover all 512 polling units in the constituency, with each unit adequately staffed and equipped to ensure smooth voter accreditation and seamless transmission of results. The commission added that the remaining BVAS machines would serve as backups to address any technical issues on election day.

The bye-election is part of INEC’s continuous efforts to uphold the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process by ensuring credible, transparent and technology-driven elections across the country.
