The Federal Government has reaffirmed its firm stance against negotiating with terrorists or paying ransom to criminal groups.
Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, stated that engaging with terrorists or offering ransom only strengthens criminal networks and undermines national security.
He explained that the administration is focused on intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling terrorist groups and restoring peace in affected communities. Bwala emphasized that equipping security agencies and enhancing inter-agency coordination are key priorities for President Tinubu’s government.
The question now is whether this zero-tolerance approach represents the most effective strategy to secure the nation and protect citizens from ongoing threats.
