Israel began commemorating the one-year anniversary of Hamas’s deadly October 7 attack with vigils and rallies across the country, remembering the massacre that claimed over 1,200 lives. At 6:29 a.m., President Isaac Herzog led a moment of silence at Kibbutz Reim, the site of the Nova music festival, where 370 people were killed in the deadliest attack of that day.

Events were held globally, honoring the victims and voicing support for Palestinians amid ongoing conflict in Gaza. Tensions remain high, with Israel retaliating to fresh rocket fire from Gaza and preparing for potential escalation with Hezbollah and Iran.
