Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has petitioned the Nigerian Police, accusing Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Uche, of failing to uphold the rule of law. In her petition, Ojo alleged that social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), who is himself a defendant in another criminal case, was allowed to enter her interrogation room uninvited and unannounced during her own police questioning.
She further claimed that CP Uche maintains a special relationship with VDM, granting him unrestricted access to the commissioner’s office despite being a civilian. According to the actress, such conduct compromises the integrity of police investigations and undermines public trust in law enforcement.
The petition calls for an immediate probe into the incident and a review of the alleged preferential treatment extended to VDM. As of press time, neither CP Uche nor the Nigerian Police has publicly responded to Ojo’s claims.
