Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of veteran singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerian mothers, asking them to intervene and plead with Edo State lawmaker, Hon. Natasha Osawaru, to leave her son alone.

In a viral video shared on Thursday evening, Mrs. Idibia expressed concern over her son’s mental state amid his ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.

“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she said.

She further claimed that 2Baba was not in his right frame of mind, attributing it to the stress of his divorce proceedings.

“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him. Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and neck—remove them and free him,” she pleaded.

The plea comes amid reports of 2Baba’s marriage proposal to Natasha Osawaru, as captured in a viral video on Thursday. Natasha is the granddaughter of Edo billionaire businessman, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion.

In the video, the singer and the lawmaker were seen dancing together, surrounded by friends who cheered them on.
