
The Kano State Government has assured residents that the ongoing emirate dispute will be resolved swiftly and amicably. Authorities say measures are already being implemented to restore lasting peace and stability across the state.
Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, told journalists on Thursday that the government is actively engaging all stakeholders to prevent the matter from escalating or disrupting governance.
He added that the administration’s approach is guided by respect for the rule of law, traditional institutions, and the collective interests of the people of Kano, with a focus on achieving a sustainable resolution that safeguards both peace and public confidence.
