The Katsina State Hisbah Board has officially banned all nightclub activities across the state, emphasizing Islamic principles and the need to uphold moral values.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Hisbah Commander-General, Dr. Aminu Usman, directed nightclub owners to shut down their establishments to curb immoral activities, protect societal values, and address security concerns.

“The board has warned that violators will face strict penalties, and security agencies have been instructed to ensure full compliance with this directive,” Usman stated.

He reaffirmed Hisbah’s commitment to fostering a morally upright society while maintaining peace and security in the state.

According to Usman, the board has notified relevant security agencies, including the state Commissioner for Internal Security, to enforce the ban effectively.

“This decision is part of Hisbah’s broader efforts to ensure that residents adhere to religious and moral standards in their daily lives,” he added.
