Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo has clarified that Fuji music star Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1, will serve as an “Ambassador” for proper airport security protocol in an unpaid capacity. According to Keyamo, the appointment is a voluntary role aimed at promoting awareness and compliance with aviation security procedures across Nigeria’s airports.
Keyamo added that the government is also considering appointing Comfort Emmanson—the passenger recently involved in a viral confrontation with airline staff—as an ambassador in a similar unpaid role. The initiative, he said, is part of efforts to turn high-profile incidents into opportunities for public education on proper conduct at airports.
The move follows recent controversies involving both KWAM 1 and Emmanson, with the Ministry positioning their cases as teachable moments to strengthen passenger-staff relations and improve airport security culture nationwide.
