The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions ahead of the E1 Lagos Grand Prix, Africa’s first electric powerboat race, holding October 3–5, 2025 on Victoria Island’s waterways.

The 1st Lekki Junction inward Ozumba Mbadiwe will be closed during the event. Motorists from Ajah are advised to divert at Lekki 1st Junction, while those heading to Ikoyi/Mainland should use the Lekki Link Bridge via Admiralty Way. The coastal road will remain open.

Parking will be available at Fidelity Bank, Access Bank, and the Law School, with LASTMA officials deployed to manage traffic. Meanwhile, the Lagos State Waterways Authority will shut jetties along Five Cowries Creek from October 2–5, affecting ferry services.

The government urged residents to plan movements early as Lagos hosts this global sporting event.
