Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his belief that leadership is determined solely by God, who installs and removes leaders at His will.

In a statement issued by his Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor reflected on the aftermath of the 2023 elections, describing it as the most challenging period of his life.

“I faced the most difficult challenges of my life after the 2023 elections. But through those challenges and tears, I remain committed to the service of Kano. I am still here because of God, not because of any individual,” Governor Yusuf said.

He emphasized that his focus remains on delivering meaningful programmes for the people of Kano, regardless of whether he seeks re-election. “I know that one day I will vacate this seat. That is why I am doing my best now to transform Kano physically, socially, and morally,” he stated.

The governor added that despite obstacles, his commitment to the transformation of the state remains unwavering, pledging to continue implementing initiatives that will leave a lasting impact on the lives of the people.
