Leicester City deepened Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles with a 2-1 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leaving Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou under mounting scrutiny. Meanwhile, Manchester United eased their relegation fears with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Fulham.

Tottenham, who took the lead through Richarlison’s header, collapsed in the second half as goals from Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss ended Leicester’s seven-game losing streak in the league. The defeat marks Spurs’ sixth loss in their last seven league games, leaving them in 15th place, just eight points above the relegation zone.

Postecoglou, whose injury-hit squad continues to underperform, remains defiant amid growing calls for his dismissal.

“When you are the manager of a football club, you can be very vulnerable and isolated. I don’t feel that,” Postecoglou said. “This group of players, not for me, are giving everything for the club.”

The win provides a lifeline for Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, whose side climbed to 16th, one point clear of the drop zone.

“It’s a massive win,” said Van Nistelrooy. “The players are buying into it. I can only be very proud of this team.”

At Craven Cottage, Manchester United secured a much-needed victory courtesy of Lisandro Martinez’s deflected strike. The win lifted United to 12th in the table, easing pressure on manager Ruben Amorim and moving them further from relegation danger.

In Birmingham, Aston Villa’s Champions League aspirations were dealt a blow after a 1-1 draw with West Ham. Jacob Ramsey gave Villa the lead, but Emerson Palmieri equalized for the injury-hit Hammers. Lucas Paqueta thought he had secured a late winner, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Brentford edged Crystal Palace 2-1 in a dramatic match at Selhurst Park. Bryan Mbeumo scored from a retaken penalty after a controversial VAR call, while Kevin Schade’s 80th-minute strike sealed the win despite Romain Esse’s debut goal for Palace.

The results leave Tottenham and West Ham precariously close to the relegation zone, while Manchester United and Leicester find temporary relief from their struggles.
