Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been handed a 56-day driving ban and fined £1,052 ($1,299) after being caught speeding twice within three days.
The 31-year-old was clocked driving his Range Rover at 85mph in a 50mph zone near Manchester Airport in March 2024. Maguire pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Bolton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The court heard that Maguire, who already had three penalty points on his licence from a 2021 offence, was caught speeding again just two days later. He received another three penalty points but was unable to attend a speed awareness course due to being out of the country.
Maguire was fined £666, with £120 in court costs and a £266 victim surcharge.
