Max Air has been officially appointed as the designated airline to airlift Jigawa State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj, according to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Ahmed Labbo, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Thursday in Dutse, the state capital, through the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Babura.
Hajj 2025 Airlift to Begin in May
Labbo announced that the airlift of intending pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to commence in May 2025. He expressed satisfaction with the level of preparations, assuring pilgrims of a smooth, safe, and comfortable journey.
“All necessary arrangements have been made, including the preparation of traveling bags and uniforms for intending pilgrims, which are now ready for collection,” Labbo stated.
Max Air Chosen for Safety and Efficiency
Labbo attributed Max Air’s selection to NAHCON’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for all pilgrims. He emphasized the seamless travel experience the board aims to provide for pilgrims both at home and abroad.
Governor Namadi’s Support Acknowledged
He extended gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for his continuous support and leadership, which has contributed to the successful transformation of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board into a highly efficient entity in Hajj operations.
“As the 2025 Hajj season approaches, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains committed to delivering exceptional services to pilgrims, ensuring a memorable and spiritually fulfilling experience,” Labbo affirmed.
Max Air’s Track Record in Hajj Operations
With previous successful airlifts of Nigerian pilgrims, Max Air is expected to deliver a hitch-free journey for Jigawa State’s pilgrims in 2025.
This appointment comes as NAHCON extends Hajj 2025 registration, urging intending pilgrims to complete their registrations and fund transfers on time to facilitate smooth operations.
