The senior World Cup-winning captain had followed Diego Placente’s young Albiceleste closely throughout the tournament, cheering them on as they lit up the competition with flair and determination — scoring 15 goals and conceding just two on their way to the final.

However, Morocco’s resilient display and clinical finishing denied Argentina a chance to add another world title to their youth ranks.
