The Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has unveiled the high-level design for Project BRIDGE, Nigeria’s most ambitious digital infrastructure initiative aimed at deploying 90,000 kilometres of fibre-optic cables across the country.

The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, made the announcement during an event held in collaboration with the Association of Telecom Operators of Nigeria.

Project BRIDGE, a major component of the Renewed Hope Agenda, is expected to improve broadband access, expand digital inclusion, boost job creation, and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global digital economy.

Dr. Tijani noted that the project will rely heavily on collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure its successful rollout.
