The Minister recalled Chedi’s role at Dornier Aviation Nigeria where he consistently projected the company’s image with dignity and excellence. He also highlighted Chedi’s long-standing service to NIPR, from his leadership of the Kaduna State Chapter to his contributions at the National Council and various committees. Idris added that Chedi’s recognition as a Fellow of the Institute reflected the respect he commanded through humility, integrity, and devotion to service.

“Bashir Chedi embodied the very best of Nigeria’s public relations community,” Idris said, praising his expertise in crisis management, corporate and government relations, and community development. He further noted that Chedi’s gentle spirit, mentorship of younger professionals, and humanity left an enduring imprint on the profession.

On behalf of the Ministry, the Minister extended condolences to the NIPR leadership and members, Chedi’s colleagues at Dornier Aviation, his family, and all who mourn his death. He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, grant him eternal rest, and comfort his loved ones.
