The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, on Tuesday attended the service of songs and night of tributes held in honour of the late Mrs. Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 63 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Olowolafe was the beloved wife of Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and former Chairman of GZ Industries (GZI).
The solemn event drew a distinguished gathering of dignitaries and senior government officials, including the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Zach Adedeji; as well as several senators and prominent political figures.
Tributes poured in celebrating her life of service, devotion, and impact on her community and beyond.
