Minister Promises Quality Service for Renewed Hope House Subscribers

Nigerians have been reassured by Minister of Housing and Urban Development Ahmed Dangiwa about the integrity of Renewed Hope City, a housing project designed to address the nation’s housing shortage.

The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing high-quality housing units during the Senate Committee on Housing and Urban Development’s oversight visit to the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and inspection tour of the Karsana Project Site in Abuja.

“The project we inspect today is part of the 3,112 Renewed Hope City for the FCT. The 1,000 units under construction would be delivered by December 2024,” he said.

Other phases would be delivered by the middle of 2025, he continued.

Dangiwa determined that the main reasons for building collapses in the nation are inadequate planning and design.

“Building collapse stems from the fact that designs were not properly done. A building plan approval has to be given. Most of the building collapse happens in the states, not in the FCT, where we have jurisdictions,” he noted.

He gave Nigerians the assurance that Renewed Hope City’s homes were expertly planned and constructed using high-quality materials to avoid building collapse.
