
The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, on Monday participated in a high-level private dinner hosted by Kuramo Capital Management in Lagos, marking a key engagement in the opening of Africa Venture Capital Week.
The exclusive gathering convened global investors, development partners, and business leaders for a candid dialogue on mobilising long-term capital to accelerate Africa’s growth and transformation. It also marked Kuramo Capital’s first formal convening in Nigeria in recent years, reflecting a renewed commitment to expanding its strategic presence across the continent.
In his remarks, Minister Edun commended Kuramo Capital and its partners for their enduring confidence in Africa’s potential. He reiterated the Federal Government’s determination to foster an investment-friendly environment—built on macroeconomic stability, structural reforms, and a clear pathway to inclusive growth.
The evening underscored strong alignment between private capital and Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with participants affirming the importance of blended finance and innovation in delivering sustainable development outcomes.
