The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, recently convened a high-level meeting with key stakeholders to discuss accelerating the Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG). This initiative aims to offer affordable and sustainable energy alternatives to Nigerians, thereby alleviating the economic impact of recent policy changes.
During the meeting, Minister Edun underscored the critical need for strategic approaches to hasten the Pi-CNG’s implementation. He highlighted that effective planning and coordination are vital for the initiative’s success.
Notable attendees included the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Lydia Jafiya; the CEO of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Dr. Armstrong Ume Takang; and representatives from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
