The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, today held a strategic meeting with Sir Ken Olisa, Chairman of Interswitch Group, focused on deepening private sector engagement in Nigeria’s ongoing economic reform agenda.
Minister Edun provided an overview of key macroeconomic reforms, including exchange rate unification, fuel subsidy removal, and targeted social investment programmes—measures that are already contributing to easing inflation and strengthening investor confidence.
He also underscored the success of Nigeria’s recent domestic dollar bond issuance and the broad international support affirmed at the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings.
Interswitch reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s digital transformation, with a focus on expanding fintech inclusion and strengthening digital infrastructure as part of the country’s broader economic growth strategy.
