Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has lost his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who passed away on Friday.

The family confirmed her death in a statement released on Friday, as reported by Daily Trust.

Sources indicated that the late Hajiya Umma had been battling age-related health challenges, which worsened in recent days. According to the sources, her condition deteriorated further after she received news of her son’s detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
