Nafiu Bala, a factional national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has denied reports claiming he resigned from his position as deputy national chairman, insisting that the purported resignation letter was forged.

Bala made this known while reacting to the recent decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday concerning the party’s ongoing leadership crisis.

He stated that he neither authored nor authorised the resignation letter currently in circulation, describing it as false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to create confusion within the party.

Bala maintained that he remains in office and will not be removed through what he described as fraudulent means.

The development adds to the deepening internal rift within the ADC, as rival factions continue to contest control of the party’s leadership structure.
