Skitmaker and musician Lawal Nasiru, popularly known as Nasboi, has openly declared that he identifies as both a Muslim and a Christian. Raised by a Yoruba Muslim father and a Christian mother from Warri, Nasboi shared that his upbringing shaped his unique perspective on religion, steering him away from bigotry.
Born in Port Harcourt and educated in Uyo, Nasboi credits his diverse environment for his neutral stance on tribalism and religious divisions. “My papa Yoruba, my mama Warri. My papa Muslim, my mama Christian. This is why I can never relate to tribalism or all the religious agendas,” he explained on social media.
When a follower asked about his faith, Nasboi responded with a creative blend of both: “I am Christmus.” His honesty has sparked mixed reactions, with some calling him confused, while others praise his inclusiveness and open-mindedness.
