NASC Confirms Emmanuel Odo as Senate Clerk

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has confirmed Emmanuel Odo as the substantive Clerk to the Senate.

The decision was made at the Commission’s 19th meeting held on Monday, January 20, 2026, according to a statement by NASC Executive Chairman, Saviour Enyiekere.

Mr. Odo, who had been serving as Acting Clerk to the Senate since September 2025, now officially assumes the administrative leadership of the Senate.

In the same meeting, NASC also appointed Ibrahim Sidi as Acting Clerk to the House of Representatives and approved other senior appointments aimed at enhancing efficiency across the National Assembly Service.
