The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to 3Horizons Nigeria Limited, granting the new carrier approval to commence domestic commercial flight operations.

The certificate was formally presented during a ceremony at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja. According to the regulatory body, the process of securing the licence began in 2021 and was concluded after the airline met all required safety and operational standards.

Based in Kaduna, 3Horizons is expected to begin operations with flights on the Abuja–Kaduna route, before expanding to destinations within the North-East zone.

Presenting the certificate, NCAA Director-General, Capt. Chris Najomo, stressed the need for the airline to strictly adhere to all civil aviation regulations and international best practices.

The entry of 3Horizons is expected to boost connectivity, particularly in northern Nigeria, and provide travellers with more options in the domestic aviation sector.
