The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced plans to impose harsher penalties on domestic airlines that frequently delay flights or mishandle passengers.
Michael Achimugu, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs, said recurring inefficiency and poor communication will no longer be tolerated, urging airlines to improve service or face stricter sanctions.
The regulator also revealed a review of enforcement rules is underway to strengthen compliance with passenger rights regulations. The move comes amid widespread delays affecting hundreds of passengers across local carriers. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
