A former elementary school teacher and seasonal Santa performer in New Jersey has been arrested and charged with possession of child sex abuse images, according to authorities. Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey identified the suspect as 64-year-old Mark Paulino, whose roles in the community involved frequent interaction with young children. Prosecutors said detectives “worked around the clock to obtain a search warrant” due to the suspect’s “active engagement with young children.”

Investigators executed the warrant at Paulino’s residence, where they allegedly found multiple child pornography files. His arrest has caused significant concern among parents and community members, many of whom recognized Paulino from school events and holiday performances. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether any of the children he worked with were directly involved or harmed.
