Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Governor of Niger State, H.E. Mohammed Umar Bago, has obtained the Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) for 100,000 hectares of land allocated for the SIPC Project. The CofO provides the legal foundation needed to move the project from agreement to implementation.

The development marks a significant step toward operationalising the SIPC Project, enabling planning, investment, and development activities to commence in line with the state and federal government’s economic objectives.

Minister for State Finance, Doris Uzoka Anite, praised the milestone as a demonstration of “commitment matched with action,” emphasizing that translating agreements into tangible results is how meaningful development is achieved.
