The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has raised an alarm over the increasing number of fake recruitment activities being perpetrated by fraudsters. The Comptroller General of the NIS, KN Nandap, has expressed concerns about this growing trend, warning the public to stay vigilant.

In a press release issued on September 25, 2024, the NIS reaffirmed that all recruitment exercises are conducted transparently, with vacancies advertised only through official channels such as the NIS website, government platforms, and recognised national newspapers.

The Service is working closely with authorities to track down individuals behind the fraudulent schemes and bring them to justice. Emphasising its commitment to integrity and professionalism, the NIS cautioned the public against responding to unsolicited messages or offers from individuals falsely claiming to represent the Service.

The NIS also urged the public to report any suspicious activities through its official channels, which include its website, social media platforms, and designated contact numbers.

For more information, the public is encouraged to visit the official NIS website at www.immigration.gov.ng or reach out via their verified social media handles.
