The Federal Government of Nigeria has formally presented Letters of Credence on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to newly appointed ambassador-designates, marking the official commencement of their diplomatic assignments abroad.

The envoys include Ambassador Aminu Dalhatu to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Ayodele Oke to France, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.

In diplomatic practice, Letters of Credence are formal documents issued by a Head of State to introduce and accredit ambassadors or high commissioners to host nations. The letters serve as official authorization for the envoys to represent their country’s interests and request the receiving state to accord them full trust and recognition in the discharge of their duties.

The government congratulated the appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to effectively represent Nigeria, wishing them a successful tour of duty in service to the nation.
