
Nigeria demonstrated its renewed economic confidence at the G24 Ministerial Meetings in Washington D.C., where Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite and CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso led discussions on macroeconomic stability, inflation control, and resource mobilization.
Mr. Cardoso revealed that Nigeria’s trade surplus has increased to 6% of GDP, crediting sound government policies for the improvement, and announced plans for a new framework on currency swap agreements to strengthen global trade relations.
Dr. Uzoka-Anite reiterated the government’s commitment to deeper international partnerships and inclusive economic reforms, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for fiscal discipline and sustainable national growth.
