Nigeria will host the Creative Africa Forum (CAF) 2025 in Lagos from October 16 to 18, bringing together more than 1,000 participants from across Africa and Europe to explore opportunities in the continent’s creative economy.

The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, announced the event, describing it as a landmark moment for Nigeria’s leadership in shaping Africa’s cultural and creative industries. She said the Forum will demonstrate Nigeria’s readiness to drive innovation, policy frameworks, and cross-border collaboration across the continent.

According to Musawa, CAF 2025 will spotlight high-growth creative sectors such as animation, video games, digital fashion, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), and sound design, in line with global trends that are transforming the creative economy.

The Forum will also serve as a platform for stakeholders to develop strategies on intellectual property protection, innovation incentives, and the export of African creative works, positioning Lagos as a hub for the continent’s next wave of creative transformation.

Organisers say the three-day event will feature panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking sessions, with government representatives, investors, and creative entrepreneurs expected to participate.

Nigeria’s hosting of CAF 2025 further underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to promoting culture and creativity as key pillars of economic diversification and growth.
