
The Federal Government of Nigeria has entered into a landmark partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to expand access to digital education and practical skills for millions of young Nigerians.
The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Digital School, led by Dr. Waleed Al Ali, under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), during a ceremony held in Dubai.
The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UAE in the areas of education, technology, and youth empowerment. It also aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of equipping Nigerian youth with 21st-century digital skills needed to thrive in the global economy.
Speaking at the event, Minister Olawande described the partnership as a testament to Nigeria’s readiness to embrace innovative solutions that bridge the digital divide and empower young citizens with opportunities for learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The collaboration is expected to deliver structured digital learning programmes, mentorship, and access to global tech ecosystems positioning Nigerian youth as active contributors to the emerging digital future.
