Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased to 14.45% in November 2025, reflecting a significant slowdown in price pressures, according to the latest report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The figure represents a notable decline from the 16.05% recorded in October 2025, translating to a 1.6 percentage point reduction on a month-on-month basis. The drop signals continued moderation in inflationary trends across the economy.

On a year-on-year basis, the NBS report showed that headline inflation in November 2025 was 20.15 percentage points lower than the 34.60% recorded in November 2024. This indicates a substantial easing of inflation compared to the same period last year, even after accounting for the revised base year of November 2009 = 100.

The latest data suggests that inflationary pressures have weakened considerably over the past year, offering cautious optimism for households, businesses, and policymakers as Nigeria navigates ongoing economic adjustments.
